:-) Done fast, but STILL not mailed. I keep meaning to get to the post office, but it's as if the universe is taunting me. The stars must align!

I was going for seaweed, but I'll take it!

I started on a tutorial/pattern for this quilt, but I left all the images I created on my computer at work. :-( So no tutorial until Tuesday.

My first fix when that happens to me is always to change my needle. If it continues to happen and I'm sure the needle is fresh, then I start sewing about a quarter inch in and stitch backwards as if I'm locking the stitch. That usually works. Also helps to start sewing on the long side of the triangle instead of the pointy end. I hope that helps. Sometimes, the best thing I can do is just to walk away from the project for a little while. :-)

These are so beautiful! I'm trying to make just one, and the little split triangles in the corners of the center square are giving me fits! Seems no matter what I do, my machine eats them! I may have to put it aside until tomorrow. So frustrating!

I've been a Flickr user for years but only discovered all the great flickr groups, swaps and QAL's around the middle of 2011....after I had cataract surgery and could see well enough to sew once again. I too started blog to connect with others having similar interests and to help keep me busy and have something to look forward to while my husband is away. I'm blown away by so many of the wonderful creative bloggers of all ages and I'm having such fun with the swaps and QAL's

Love that block, particularly in that it looks so different depending on the fabric. Beautiful as always.

Someone was admiring our altar quilt yesterday with great enthusiasm. I am going to send her to your esty site!
